About Us

Company History

Downs Safe & Lock Company was founded in 1900 by CC Downs. The company remained in the Downs family until 1963 when CC’s grandsons sold the business to George and Rachel Pinson. George a World War II veteran and former employee of the Mosler Safe Company managed the company until 1995. The company was then turned over to George and Rachel’s sons, Joe and Calvin.

Over the Years Downs Safe & Lock has evolved from a locksmith and safe company into a full service security systems integrator. Providing services ranging from lock and door hardware to fully integrated access control and CCTV systems.

We combine over 100 years experience in the locksmith industry with 20 years experience in the security industry. This combined experience gives us a unique advantage in designing many different solutions to address your security issues and stay within your budget.
